Portrait of Mexican man by Markel Redondo
Juan Vasquez working at his home in San Juan Vallarta, Puebla, Mexico. Juan lived in the United States for many years and his wife, Socorro, convinced him to come back to Mexico as she feared to be left with a broken family. In many cases men start a new life in the US and forget about their families back home. Juan and Socorro have four children living in the US and they haven't seen them for 20 years. They are raising one of their grandchildren in Mexico, who barely knows his parents.
